I created this piece in January 2022. It was the first drawing I had put my all into in a really long time. I was inspired by my baby cousin and her many ballet poses. Creating this meaningful artwork made me realize how much I had missed drawing and all the creative energy I had pent up over the past 2 years.

Behind the 'seams' of creating the Jedi Cape! From washing and ironing the fabric to fitting the prototype on my brother, I did everything I could to make it absolutely perfect! I printed taino symbols of the water, a coqui, and the sun inside the beautiful island that is Puerto Rico ❤️💙 Something beautiful and meaningful to bring me back to my art. This is my first time trying lino printing! I have been wanting to try this for a while now, and I thought, why not now?
